Owner Comments on the Pilot BurroPak Review

Offer an alternate strap that is one straight strap that can be worn over either shoulder. It could pass over the head and rest on the right shoulder with the bag hanging under the left arm. I think this would eliminate the objections to it looking like a gun holster. I myself like the design of the pack, but object to it looking like a gun holster, or just drawing so much attention to the apparatus of the crossover in the back. I have considered purchasing it, but if I did, I know I would be trying to make my own alternate strap. The case itself looks perfect for what I need; my Handspring Visor, my Cell phone, my pager and my wallet. I currently carry all of these accessories in a "Fanny Pack" from REI and it does not look business like. If the manufacturer likes my idea, ask them to send me one of their packs for the suggestion.

I saw a burropack just the other day.  thought it was the best invention
since the palm pilot.  I found myself still carrying my planner my cell phone
and by palm pilot.  I think I just downsized with  the burropack.

I have passed through airport security many many times with my BurroPak
in plan sight and have never had a problem. I have also traveled all
over Europe and never a question except people asking  me were they can
get one. My friends on the Rhode Island State Police inform me not to
worry. It looks like a holster because it is a holster. It's just that
this one carries a computer. If you're the type that would carry a gun
you wouldn't be so obvious. Think of it as a fashion statement.

This appears to be a super way to carry both a Palm and a cell phone. A
possible problem could arise from someone seeing the shoulder straps and
assuming that instead of a PalmPilot carrier, you
could be wearing a handgub shoulder holster. This could be a good reason
for the manufactorer to offer this product in a wide selection of bright
colors.
Enjoy your reviews and commentary.

I think it looks too much like a gun holster.   Will probably yield
suspicious looks from public - - not to mention airport security.
