I really enjoyed the report and I am glad everyone is home safe and sound. Am I the only one who thinks the QuickPix QP2 from GlobalNSU looks exactly like the memory-eraser device from Men in Black? :-) |

I was pretty disappointed with Spring COMDEX this year. I was really surprised that Microsoft didn't attend (tho after reading a bit about WinXP issues, sort of think they had a reason to stay away) I was really pleased to see such a strong Linux presence and support there, as well as a lot of Open Source advocates. The Palm "Solutions"? Most of them couldn't even answer simple questions about what they were promoting. (Example: Asked the gent at the Data Viz station about Doc to Go and the GoType keyboard, he didn't know what I was talking about. I then pointed out it was the keyboard he was using to demo the product.) And you are right, the Agenda is *very* sluggish and pokey. Made my VDX feel lightning fast! (Another weird thing. Anytime I pulled out my Ice VDX for anything, I'd draw notice from several people who had never seen a Visor in person!) All in all I'm glad I went (got to take some time off from work), but I really didn't see anything "next gen". (except for Motent and RIM, but that's another posting) |

Actually, doesn't that camera look almost exactly like the Aiptek Pen Cam 2? It looks like one company is just rebranding the other, though which one is which I don't know. The Aiptek is available now for $89, which seems like a pretty good price to me. Excelllent coverage - I blogged it over at Streettech. Hope you don't mind. |

You mentioned wanting to play with an Agenda VR3 - their website is offering a "developer's package" for $179.00 USD (the MSRP is $249.00). I received mine yesterday and as far as I can tell the only difference is the color selection of the case (blue, blue, and for discriminating users they offer blue) and the plain white box. So far the neatest thing about it is watching it's bootloader boot up Linux. |

Anon: Sorry, I didn't notice any. Gmerin: Agenda is sending me an eval unit that should be here on monday. I'll have a review after putting it thru its paces. Julie [This message has been edited by Julie (edited 04-06-2001).] |

Is the beta of the cube web browser publicly available? Also, did you get an MSRP for the Triton? I am VERY interested... |

doriath22, You can access the Beta for the Cubic Eye Browser at: http://www.2ce.com/ I downloaded it last night, and found there are some major limitations to it (such as the fact that you can't click on any of the links on the 6 pages yet); however, it is loadable and workable otherwise - you can definitely get a good feel for what it will be like when it is fully operational. The man at the 2ce booth said it would be $10 to register the browser when it went public. (I am hoping that was a one time price - not a monthly fee) :0) As for the Triton - get in line behind me, bud! (haha!) Honestly, we couldn't get a price from the man in the booth, mainly due to a serious language barrier. Julie and I were debating its cost on the escalator ride that evening, and we were thinking (but obviously we could be wrong) something in the $699 range. Hopefully we're a bit high...but if you could have just seen the unit - the display and interface warrants the price. It would be so FAB if the final version came with 64 MB RAM! One never knows... I was very impressed with the Triton PDA and can't wait until it becomes available. Any clear dates on this? Also, I wasn't sure who the vendor was when I reread the article. I went to Millenium Technology's web site but didn't find this product. |

I don't hold out much hope that the Triton will come to fruition. We can hope though... [This message has been edited by Julie (edited 05-01-2001).] |

Hi, I enjoyed checking out your site. I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to purchase one of the Rhythm Touch massager! I can't find it anywhere... Thanks, ann.lopes@verizon.net |
