Hi, I have this mount, and have been very pleased with it. What I especially like is that you can put your Rhinoskin Ti Slider Case enclosed PalmV in the mount without any problem. I really like not having to remove the case from my PalmV everytime I mount it on my windshield.

FYI:
Arkon was recently working with Revolve Design on a collaborative relationship, where Arkon would represent Revolve's products while we cooperatively developed a mounting product together. Without our knowledge, Arkon selfishly took all the info and samples given to them by Revolve and had a cheesy, attempted "knockoff" of our product produced overseas for their sole benefit. Really bad Karma move. They have also gone to the extent of using all of our marketing text and color schemes to confuse customers. They even named the product simularly - "Universal Mount".
In our opinion, the product is clunky and does not come close to the quality and functionality offered by UniMount, which took a year of hard, unpaid work to develop. We are not concerned by this desparate effort to cut into the market we started though, as we have some really exciting, new products soon to be released. Please keep an eye on our site http://www.revolvedesign.com for more high quality, custom tailored solutions for all Palm OS handhelds.

Arkon Feedback:

Dear Michael Shawver(re:RevolveDesign),

As marketing manager for Arkon Resources, I would just like to follow up your not so positive response to the CM220 Universal Windshield mount offered by our company. Arkon Resources is an upstanding member of the consumer electronics industry belonging to organizations such as the Consumer Electronics Association. We at Arkon strive to deliver our customers the highest quality products and unmatched customer service. Your attempt at defaming our product and the very positive initial response by the user on this product forum has failed. Customers all over the world are raving about the functionability of this product and several prominent industry periodicals have given praise. As marketing manager, I am most concerned with the total satisfaction of each and every purchaser of Arkon products. Not only do we stand behind our products in writing, but we also provide toll free technical and customer support (800)841-0884
Gaining the respect of the consumer is not going to occur by degrading an industry competitor. We have to earn their respect and only then can we be worthy enough to supply them with the innovative products that our respective companies provide.

Respectfully,

Aaron Roth

My main purpose for a vehicle PDA mount is
to use it as a GPS platform. The Universal
Mount clamps the PDA from the top/bottom.
This prevents use of a Handspring Visor with
any of the coming Springboard GPS modules.
Would it be possible to clamp the PDA on
the sides?

Arkon Resources mounting products offers an ideal solution to the Compact I/O problem. The palm-sized holder found on all of our kits can be rotated 180 degrees to allow for use with the cards for modem, memory, etc. The adjustable spring loaded legs also move inward and outward to accommodate any size card. For more information, please call Aaron Roth at Arkon Resources @ 626-254-9005 or visit our site at http://www.arkon.com/palm2.html
