I have the Waterfield small cargo bag, which is one of those "flap bags"..but like you, with my Waterfield bag, I've found my ultimate gear bag.

They also make great ipod cases. Now if only they'd make a matching case for my soon-to-be-purchased Tungsten...

I think that we female gadgeteers have the best of it. My husband and many like him will never use a gear bag, but women don't have to put up with that stigma.

Great review! I'd always wondered what was inside the Cosmo. Now I know.

Hey! I'm a guy and I have a nice medium sized Cargo bag from Waterfield, that I use to carry my TiBook and other assorted junk, to and from work.

I just wanted to make one comment about not being able to take one's laptop out quickly. I found that if I stuck the SleeveCase in, with the flap folded open, it would stay inside my Cargo bag quite well. This way I can easily slide my TiBook in and out of the SleeveCase while it's in the bag, without fumbling with the flap. In your case, Julie, I could see you doing something similar, and needing only to undo the large velcro strap and then pull your Lifebook out.

I love my Waterfield bag and it sounds like you do too.

Have fun.

Can someone tell me how stiff this sleevecase is? I wanted to prevent as much flex as possible on my TiBook when used in a messenger (across the chest)-style bag.

The sleevecase is not stiff. It is a thick but is also soft.
