Anybody knows if the Clie T/NR/NX version has a sync button? I have a Belkin charge/sync cable now and it is a pain to start syncing by picking the app.

I have been looking for something small to recharge my Tungsten. Finally something I like. FYI, they have a holiday special reduced price of $17.47

kiethhat,

Thanks for mentioning the sale price, I had to put the MSRP in the review since it was just a "holiday" special. Everyone should definitely take advantage of the special pricing now, if they want one.

Does anyone know if the Palm m500 version works on the TungstenT?

Once again you amaze me with the newest (ok giving you street credit) products and honest reviews, this is actually a space saver for my desktop which is already bogged down with the other series of cords (aka palm IIIc charger, and digital camera) this gives me the ability to reach the rear without leaving alot more cords.....thanks

primegecko,

I use mine on my desktop, too - for that exact reason.

Really cool product. I was able to get an 8" sync/charge cable for my treo and I thought that was cool (i like it better than the 3 feet ones), but this is awesome.

However, do these have sync buttons?

And, as mentioned before, will the m500 series work on the TT?

thanks,
glenn

I am an absolutely HUGE fan of this...the tiny design, retractability, all of it - just plain genius.

THANK YOU!

Brilliant - will have to see if they'll make other cables too. Useful for when I'm running 802.11 on the NX-70 and want to mooch power from an adjacent laptop :-)

Doesn't have a sync button (the green thing is just a logo.) I don't consider this a problem, though.

I just received the MiniSync for my Tungsten T and my wife's M505. It fits both devices and the form factor is great. But I have two minor issues. The connector doesn't really "grab" the device so even the smallest movement can disconnect the cable. Also, as soon as you plug in, the device goes into HotSync mode. Often times, I just want to give my device a quick charge, not perform a HotSync, so this is a bit of a inconvenience.

OK, the Boxwave miniSync is cute and compact and I like it. But where the heck is the sync button? How do I sync?
Thanks for helping the clueless.

You have to navigate to the Hotsync application on your Palm and then click on the large hotsync button in the middle of the screen.

I bought one of these June 04, by Oct this delicate female semiconductor equipment field service engineer had used it to the point where both ends of the cable were shorting. Great idea but needs stiffer, stronger cables.

All times are PT (US)
