The Digital Remote would be useful for someone wanting to turn a stripped down PC into a home entertainment system. Imagine a customized small footprint PC (the same size as a normal stereo component box, and coloured black of course) with maybe a very small LCD montior (5 inches), and a digital soundcard, running a DVD player and MP3 player, connected to your home entertainment system in the living room. It might work... |

I have this remote and it's really great. The bad thing about it is that it has really bad range. You have to be right in front of the recieving eye. |

2 questions: 1) The poor range issue--is that caused by the receiver, or the remote? 2) Will the receiver work with a universal remote? 3) Is it possible (either as is or with 3rd party software) to sync an IR-equipped handheld via the receiver? |
